Statement

Through oils, pen and ink, water colour and mixed media my work leans toward the decorative, exploring cultural diveristy, and nature subjects, with a special emphasis of colour, defined line, and pattern.

 

Biography

1992 - 1995 Camberwell College of Arts, History of Drawing and Print Making B.A (hons) degreeThe degree entailed special emphasis on the methods, materials and techniques of the artists and the conservation of works of art on paper within laboratory and studio environment, including workshop drawing practices. Special reference to period of the Renaissance to the modern day. Later, after a MA in management, I returned to further courses in drawing and painting with oils and water colours, and sculpture. I now have been exhibiting my work with AAH since 2008, as well as a solo exhibition, and mixed exhibition.

1992-1995Camberwell College of Arts, School of Art History and Conservation. BA (hons) History of Drawing and Print Making. A study of Art technological research in understanding how a work is created through technique and material by reconstruction of that process through the production in these media (with particular reference to Western European Traditions), in which both art historical methods of enquiry, and specialist knowledge of scientific methods for investigating the material make-up of works of art were jointly analysed. Analysis of both theory and practice of all aspects of drawing and its development, through analysis of the process and production in these media in which both art historical methods of enquiry, and specialist knowledge of scientific methods for investigating the natural-make up of works of art (including the conservation practices of) were defined through investigation of the history of art dating from c1400 to the present day.
